During the 6th course, "Build Dynamic UI for Websites", I submitted my Ca$hFlow mobile app case study to the Google UX Design Professional Certificate community for feedback:
"Very thorough research, good job."
"Its good, Gets the job done, i think u should refine the app more"
"good"
I've been focusing on the comment about refining my app. Which elements need refining? The case study includes a link to my high-fidelity prototype in Figma, so it could be anything. User flow, colors, graphics, navigation, and so on. Here's the link:
I can't do much with the feedback I received, but I can apply what I've learned to my job. I spend a lot of time with prototype software, and I recently started attending UX/UI design reviews for a new product. I've already been providing feedback to the design team, so I went back and re-read my comments. They're better than the bullets above (thank goodness!) but they could be more specific and actionable.
It's certainly interesting being in the UX/UI designer's shoes. Receiving feedback can feel uplifting, demoralizing, and/or puzzling. I'll definitely be more helpful - and empathetic - going forward.
